Rice Pakoda
3-4 Servings ~ 10 Minutes
  • ½ Cup Rice Flour
  • 1 Big Onion- Thinly Sliced
  • 4-5 Curry Leaves - Finely Chopped
  • 2-3 Green Chillies - Finely Chopped
  • 2-3 Tsp Fresh Coriander leaves - Finely Chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Simple Rice Flour Pakoda

My mom used to make pakoda’s when ever it would rain heavily in Bangalore. I make it when quite often as it hardly takes times.


– In a bowl, mix in all the ingredients except oil.
– Add small amounts of water and make into a dough.
– Heat oil in a deep fry pan on medium heat.
– Drop small portions of the mixture into the oil and cook them till golden brown.
– Serve hot with tomato sauce along with evening tea.

I was looking for ways to make simple pakoda’s when I have some unexpected guests at home. remembered that i had seen something like this on your blog..checked on my mobile and made this.
