Steamed Broccoli with Salt and Pepper

  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/8 Tsp Butter (Optional)

Healthy Steamed Broccoli

This easy, healthy and fast recipe is great for a starter.

Method:

Cut the broccoli into bite size florets, de-steamed and soak in salt/vinegar water for 5 minutes.
Remove and dry them on a paper napkin.
Put the florets in a bowl and steam for 5 minutes on high for crunchy texture else 5 minutes on low flame for soft texture.
Remove and add salt and pepper to taste.
If you are adding butter, you can add it along with salt and pepper.
Serve as a starter.

Note:

To steam in a pressure cooker, add some water into the pressure cooker and place the bowl of broccoli into it. Close the lid without the weight/whistle.
