– In a mixer add the tomatoes, rasam, pepper and cumin powders along with salt , sugar and tamarind pulp. Grind into a fine paste.
– Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Splutter mustard seeds.
– Add Curry leaves and Asafoetida.
– Pour in the Tomato paste & 2-3 Cups of water; allow boiling.
– Add the Coriander leaves and let boil for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
– Remove from flame. Serve hot with Rice or drink as a soup.
