A must try traditional Kerala dish. Yummy….
-In a pressure cooker add Black channa, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder, garam masala, onion, salt & coriander leaves. Pour water till it covers the channa. Pressure cook for up to 5 whistles.
– Dry roast coconut, ginger, garlic, green chillies, tomato and turmeric powder. Make a fine paste of this in a blender using water.
-Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves and allow spluttering of mustard seeds.
-Add the boiled channa mixture and the coconut paste in to the pan. Allow to boil.
-Serve hot with Puttu, Appam & Idiyappam.
