Dry Aalo Gobi Masala


Potato                                                          2 sliced thick
Cauliflower Florets                                  1 cup
Turmeric powder                                     1/2 tbsp
Red chilly powder                                    1 tbsp
Coriander powder                                    2 tbsp
Garam masala                                          1 Tsp
Bay leaf                                                       2
Green chilli                                                2 (slit to half)
Ginger paste                                              1 Tsp
Fresh Coriander leaves                          3 Tbsp (Finely chopped)
Cumin Seeds                                              1 Tsp
Oil                                                                 2-3 Tsp
Salt to taste


-Take a small bowl. Add the turmeric, coriander, Red chilli and garam masala powders. Add a bit of water & make it a fine paste.
-Keep a pan on flame, pour in the oil. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, green chilly & ginger paste. Mix it well.
-Pour the masala mix into the pan & mix well. Keep flame on low so that this mixture doesn’t get burnt.
-Add potato & cauliflower florets. Sprinkle salt & mix well.
-Close the lid for 5 minutes. Then stir it again. Pour a bit of water again and cover the lid and cook for around 20 minutes.
-Garnish it with coriander leaves.
-Serve it hot with puris.
