-Take a pan, add ½ tsp of oil and add in the channa dal, garlic, ginger, green chillies, small onions, grated coconut, red chilly powder & coriander powder. Fry till it gives an aroma & becomes dark in colour. Cool and grind to a smooth paste using water (chutney consistency).

-Add the grinded mixture into it & salt as per your taste. Allow to boil.
-Add boiled raw banana into it & mix well. Make sure that it should not get smashed.
-Leave it to boil a bit, then sprinkle garam masala & mix well.
-Raw banana curry is ready to serve with Rice, chapattis, Parottas or Phulkas.

Note: Banana/Plantain can be used without peeling the skin also. It tastes equally great.

  1. The great thing about plantains is that they ve got that texture which is almost a bit like potato but a sweetness like banana which means you can cook them in so many different ways. Lovely and useful recipes in the blog.
