All love sweets.This is a special sweet which can be easily prepared at home.Have a try with Pinnies.


> 1 1/4 cups of split black gram
>3/4 cup of pure ghee
>2 1/2 tbsp of rawa
> 1 1/2 tbsp of gram flour(besan)
> 1/2 tbsp of whole wheat flour (atta)
>  1 cup of sugar
> 3 tbsp of almond slivers
> 1/2 tsp of green cardamom powder
1.Soak urad dal for at least 1 hr in 3 cups of water.Drain & grind to a fine paste,without adding water if possible,or with very little water.
2.Heat ghee in a deep pan.
3.Add rawa,gram flour & wheat flour & saute  for 5 minutes.
4.Add the ground urad dal & continue to saute on low heat for about 1/2 hr.
5.In the meanwhile,cook the sugar & half a cup of water to make a syrup of one consistency.
6.Roast the almond slivers.
7.Add cardamom powder & mix.
8.Pour the sugar syrup & cook for a while longer,till the mixture dries up a little.
9.Add almonds,take the pan,off the heat & leave to cool.
10.Divide the cool mixture into 12-16 equal portions & make balls out of it.
