Vegetable Biryani

* Ingredients:

1.Basmati rice             2 cups
2.Ghee                         1 spn
3.Oil                             2 spns
4.Jeera                        1 tbspn
5.Cardamom                 2
6.Bay leaves                  2
7.Onion                          1 sliced
8.Green chillies            2 slited
9.ginger & garlic           1 tbspn of each
10.Pudina leaves
11.Curry leaves
12.Salt
13.Turmeric powder           1/2 spn
14.Tomato                            1 diced
15. Red chilly powder         1 spn
16.Coriander powder          2 spns
17.Vegetables                       1 cup diced
18.Garam masala                 1 spn
19. Water                            4 cups

* Method:

-Take basmati rice in a bowl.Wash it & remove the water.
-Fry the rice in ghee.
-Take a cooker.Pour oil,jeera, cardamom &  bay leaves.Add onion, green chillies,ginger & garlic paste,pudhina leaves & curry leaves.Mix all well,add salt & turmeric to it.
-When onions will turn brown,add tomato into it.
-Add red chilly powder & coriander powder.
-Add diced vegetables(beans,carrot,po​tato,capsicum,cauliflower & green peas) into it.
-Add some more salt & garam masala.Mix all well till 5 minutes.
-Add the fried rice in the cooker.Mix gently so that rice will not break.
-Pour 4 cups of water,again give a stir & check the salt.Close the lid & leave it for 1 whistle.
-Spicey vegetable biryani is ready to serve with onion raitha.
